My Muse: Willow-Marie Power

One of the things I am going to do with my blog is introduce you to people that have inspired me in my life; my real life muses so to speak. My hope is that their insights and advice impact you and have a positive influence on your life, just like they have had on my life. These won't be long or drawn-out interviews. The idea is more to have short and sweet inspirational take-aways from some amazing people!

I am so happy to introduce you to my first feature: Will-Marie Power. I met Willow at a wedding I was coordinating and she was my emcee for the evening. From the first moment that I met her, I knew that we would be friends. Her positive energy is contagious and I could honestly listen to her talk forever. We always seem to loose track of time when we are together! Every time I am around her I always leave with the biggest smile on my face. One of the greatest things I have learned from her is the importance of connecting with people on a real level, as well as listening to my inner voice and following my heart. She taught me how to quiet my busy mind, to take time to look within and to trust my instincts. Willow is one of the most amazing people I know and I am so blessed to call her my friend.

I create talks and workshops about getting our private and public selves in sync.

What inspires you:

The human things: a kindness, an insight, a story of transformation or the sharing of a deeply personal truth. It’s the meaning of things, the why behind what is.

How do you stay balanced in your busy life:

I make time during the day to reach out to friends. At the end of the day I reflect on how I offered what I had, and the ways I accepted what was given. No matter how hectic the day has been, it never fails to still me and remind me what matters.

What piece of advice would you give your 20-year-old self:

Exhale into life, notice and appreciate the small things, keep it simple.
